I spend most of my week doing two things: living with technology the way normal people do, and then trying to describe it honestly. Not the launch-day version, not the specification sheet — the version you meet after three weeks, when the novelty has gone and only usefulness remains.
How I write
I assume you are intelligent and busy. That means no padding, no invented drama, and no pretending a modest improvement is a revolution. If something is genuinely complicated, I will explain it. If it is only made to sound complicated, I will say that too.
The measure of good technology is how little you have to think about it.
What I care about
- Devices that reduce effort rather than adding a new routine.
- Setup instructions that a person can follow without a second device in hand.
- Honest limits — telling you what a product will not do.
- Recommendations that hold up a year later.
